My good friend Mandy (also my main blogger photographer) just purchased a new speed light so we decided to test it out last night by doing a night shoot. I have to say, for her first time using it outdoors, the pictures came out pretty good. It's pretty cool how you can alter and move the flash around to give photos a different effect. Lighting makes such an impact on photos. I seriously give props to all amazing photographers out there.

Totally appreciate guys that can pull of patterned scarves.
Gold phone? Yes please. Also diggin his red cardigan buttoned down under the navy blazer.
Diggin the color/texture of his blazer.

Double breasted blazer = thumbs up. Contrasting but complimentary patterned tie & handkerchief = double thumbs up.
Great layering & talk about flawless color coordination. Also liking how he buttoned up just the top 3 buttons so his belt buckle remains visible.
Simple and warm. Neutral coats is also a must in every fashionista's closet.
Casual blazer wear. Also liking how he wore colored socks with cuffed up denim. Simple but totally fashion-forward.
And of course, Kanye West. Always rockin them blazers and lookin oh so fly.

Wearing A&F denim jacket (similar here), Alternative Apparel tank top (similar here), Forever21 skirt, necklace and cuff, H&M hat, thrifted belt and Dolce Vita booties
The original version of these pictures were lacking in color so I thought it'd be neat to still use them after some editing through use of diptic, camera+ and instagram (apps on my iPhone). It still amazes me to this day how much you can do on your iPhone. Ever since converting from my old droid, I've been addicted lol.

The soft pastel colors, hippie feel, along with the effortless, relaxed appeal of Elizabeth & James' spring 2012 collection is one that excites me for spring fashion. It's simple and runs off a formula of effortless summer stables.... slouchy tops, dropped armholes, denim, and heavy usage of cotton. Perfect for everyday dressing.

I bought this two-toned sweater in Korea back in October and have to say that out of all my clothing purchases done in Korea (and I shopped a lot), this has come to be my favorite piece. The minimalistic and modern approach of two-toned color blocking is one trend that I have progressively been seeing more of and not only in fashion. First it was the two-toned aka ombre hair trend, then color blocking on clothes/clutches/heels, and now theres two-toned nails and even lips (which I'm still a little questionable about).
sweater from Korea, H&M hat and leather pants (similar here and here), asos clutch, rings from F21, L.A.M.B heels
Some cool color block sweaters to shop:
1. Vince Camuto dolman sleeve sweater
3. Alexander Wang knitted sweater
5. Vince color block sweater

COMBINEDI've been really into metallics lately and find myself constantly getting attracted to metallic pieces of sorts... clothes, clutches, heels, accessories and nail polish. I'm even tempted to buy a metallic dog collar for my pet beagle, Peaches but I can't have her walking around the house looking all diva... Well, I thought it would be quite suitable to do my first official outfit post of the year on metallics seeing how I'm still in a festive mood. So for those also still in a festive mood, Happy New Years, hope you're all having a great 2012 thus far!

H&M shirt, gifted necklace from my dear friend Amy, F21 cuffsforeign exchange skirt (similar style here and here), ecote clutch from urban outfitters and Dolce Vita heels (pictured above)

I've been quite addicted to Instagram lately due to the convenience of it. It's quite impressive what you can do with an iPhone4s these days, especially because of the high quality camera. Anyways to start off a new year post, here are some photos captured during the last month of 2011. I hope you all had a great New Years and that your 2012 is filled with joy, love and success. Also thank you to all my wonderful readers out there, it has now been officially a year since I have been blogging and thanks to you I will continue to blog! =)
