I love having pieces in my closet that are versatile, trendy and comfortable. The varsity jacket just happens to be one of them. The varsity jacket or letterman jacket appeared on runways last Fall, and this Fall stores have finally adopted this trend. Nice to see the break away from a traditional school sports jacket and on the streets for simply just what it is, a jacket with a school twist.

Other cute varsity jackets worth buying:
1. Free People distressed varsity jacket $168
2. Nordstrom Sanctuary varsity jacket $168
3. Urban Outfitters Sparkle & Fade varsity jacket $129
4. G Star basketball jacket in sand $198
5. Urban Outfitters BDG quilted varsity jacket $59

I love knitted sweaters and find myself collecting more and more. Being able to wear it in heat with a bandeau or bralette underneath, or during the cold over/under layers helps make it that versatile year round piece. Also a fan of how I can just throw it on and not think too much of what goes with what (especially since this ones white). My whole weekend was spent in class and meetings for grad school so the last I wanted to do was "think" about what to wear.

So grad schools been picking up, my iPhone4s recently got stolen (I got pitpocketed =( ), and my blog was disabled for the past week due to domain conversions - which explains my absence from blogging. I now own trendenvy.com (yay!) but there's been issues with converting my old domain to the new, something I have yet to figure out. Hoping next week will be less hectic so I can figure everything out and post something more enlightening. =)

One clothing article that should be in every fashionistas closet are leather pants. I've had these pair of leather pants for more than a year and they're still one of my favorite go-to pieces. The versatility of being a daytime or nighttime look and looking fabulous with basic cotton pieces helps creates that effortless, comfortable, "cool" look. Whats next on my leather wishlist are Bordeaux (deep, rich red) leather pants. For those that aren't aware, bordeax leather is preluding into one of Falls hottest trends this year, so fierce.

I remember being in elementary/middle school when crop tops were last in style. My older cousin who was my age now at the time, wore a white crop top that I couldn't help but adore. Of course at that time, I dared not to wear something so revealing at such a young age. Luckily fashion always repeats and now the crop top trend is back, meaning I finally get to wear my wishful childhood fashion trend, now at a completely age appropriate time.

My style doesn't really consist of feminine-like dresses (unless for occasion) but I couldn't resist this crochet mixed tulle dress from Tobi. The white just seemed perfect for summer days and you can never go wrong with crochet. Figured that if and when I get tired of it as a dress, I can always cut off the tulle skirt and ta-da, a new crochet tank.
