THE BEST BRANDS FOR BASICS WITH SUPER SOFT FABRIC

If there’s anything to know about casual wardrobe styling, it’s that there are essential pieces that everyone should own since you’ll wear these items consistently. These essential pieces are basics and evergreen styles (things that don’t ever go out of style) like cotton crew-neck tees, long-sleeve shirts and camisoles. Most people aren’t willing to splurge on basics since they’re simple and available everywhere, but these items are worth the splurge since the cost-per-wear (the number of times you’ll wear an item) ends up being worth it. I own about 8 white tee’s, 5 black tee’s and wear them all religiously. Since I’ve tested a number of basics from various brands, below are some of my favorite brands to shop for evergreen pieces with the best fabrics.

The Best Brands for Shopping Basics with Super Soft Fabric:

  1. Everlane: I love Everlane because their stuff fits extremely well (they carry sizes XXS-XL) and the price-point is affordable. They also have a transparent business model and only work with ethical factories. Now, why wouldn’t you want to support that? I own a few of their tee’s and love wearing it around the house or to run errands. Their shirts are a bit thinner and 100% cotton making it very breathable.
  2. Theory: Their fabrics are super luxe and feel so nice against your skin. Theory runs on the more expensive side but I’ve found that I ALWAYS want to wear my Theory pieces since they feel that nice. You can tell the difference with their fabrics since they source materials from the best mills in the world and test every fabric. In my opinion, they’re one of the best high-end basic brands out there and this crew-neck tee is a must-have.
  3. Amour Vert: Amour Vert is a sustainable and ethical fashion brand that uses fabrics exclusive to Amour Vert. They work directly with mills to pioneer new fabrics that have low environmental impact that don’t cause pollution. Their tee’s are incredibly soft and have this comfortable elastic bounce to it. I own this long sleeve top and love it. The cool thing too is that every time someone purchases a tee, they plant a tree in North America! Now that’s a company with a great mission.
