HOW TO STYLE A WRAP BLOUSE

Wearing Romwe striped wrapped blouse, J Brand jeans, Gucci Princetown loafers and vintage Gucci boston handbag (similar one here).

Ever wonder how to wear a wrap around blouse? This trend first originated from the wrap dress and has progressively made its way into blouses. What I love about this trend is that it’s extremely stylish, exudes confidence, and is very flattering on. The wrap tie helps pinch your waistline while the v-neck helps elongate your silhouette and shape your bustline. If you’ve always wanted to wear this trend, here are 3 easy styling tricks for wearing a wrap around blouse so you confidently look your best.

How to Style a Wrap Blouse:

  • Pair it with a contrasting bottom: If the wrap around blouse has a lot of volume (like mine) keep the bottom portion of your outfit slim to contrast the weight of your outfit. Skinny jeans in a darker color tend to be the most flattering since dark colors make you look even slimmer.
  • Show off your neckline: Try to keep your accessories bare. Avoid wearing heavy necklaces that distract the neckline and can make you appear heavy on top. My favorite accessory to wear with a wrap around blouse is a dainty gold necklace.
  • Wrap it tight and tie the bow on the side or the back: When wearing a wrap around blouse it’s crucial to tie it tight so it fits properly and pinches your waist. If it comes with long straps (like mine) either tie it to the side or the back of the top. I decided to tie mine to the back since there was a lot going on with my specific top including the peplum bottom. If your blouse is more simple, experiment and see how it looks tied on the side vs the back!
